The LT copper busbar pressure-pattern samples demonstrate the contact pattern produced by press embossing. They are made on T2 copper and 6061 aluminium at stamping pressures of 300, 500 and 800 kN, with a pattern depth of 0.2 to 0.5 mm and a maximum engraving area of 100 x 100 mm.

Embossing result — Pattern depth is 0.2 to 0.5 mm at stamping pressures of 300 kN, 500 kN and 800 kN, with a maximum engraving area of 100 x 100 mm; the die hardness used to produce the samples is HRC 58-62.
Materials — Samples are produced in T2 copper and 6061 aluminium, the two materials the embossing die range is specified for.
Use — The samples show the actual contact pattern and depth achieved on the finished busbar, so joint contact behaviour can be judged from the physical piece rather than from a drawing.
